I put EB Fairmont seats in the old mans. They were cheap and easy to mod and super comfy. We had a set of GQ ones but they were too painful to mod and nothing came close to lining up.

i have both seats sitting side by side out of the cars. I dont possibly see how that where easy to mod?

I have considered using the rails from the MK and puting the seats on to them but the measurements are totally different. The seats im looking at using are from a EB falcon, not fairmont? Is there a differance?

Falcon/Fairmont same mounts. There was some cutting and shutting involved but nothing that I would consider difficult. It is some time since I did it but we had it all done in a couple of hours and if memory serves me correct it was only the rear inside corner that required cutting/welding

cheers Smiley
could you remember if you used the EB rails or stuck to the patrol ones?

I have the passanger seat mounted on the patrol rails but it sits too high and too far forward.

haha na its fine mate ill bodge something up Smiley
car can get a defect anyway for many a number of things so its not going to matter if i make some unrated seat mounts.

I will be using some mild steel 6mm plate and all bolts will be 6mm high tensile so they will be plenty beefy enough. Now to get some welding gas  Roll Eyes

cheers guys i ended up getting the EB seats into mine, took a bit longer then i wanted but because they sat so high i ended up remaking the brackets to move them back ~100mm. This worked fine Cheesy

Glad it's all worked out for you in the end. I did forget to mention they sit a bit higher than the originals, but that was better for the old boy with his crook legs. Comfort wise, you'll be much happier
